Hey there! Thanks for choosing toongether, your go-to app for bringing webcomics to life. Kartoon Inc. owns and operates this platform, and we're on a mission to make it the coolest spot online for storytellers like you.
By using toongether, you're agreeing to these Terms, which include our Community Guidelines (below), Privacy Policy (here) and Content Safety Guidelines (here). If you're not on board with them, sadly, you'll have to skip our awesome platform. It’s important, these Terms are a contract between you and us.
1. Getting Started with toongether
Age Matters: You have to be 13 or older to use toongether. If you're under 18, check these Terms with a parent or guardian. If we learn that you’re under 13, we’ll close your account without further ado, sorry!Your Account: Sign up with accurate info and keep it fresh. We offer Apple login for iPhone users. If you use iCloud+, you can keep your email hidden from usShare Responsibly: Your comics, comments, and creations are yours. Just be cool and respectful, as outlined in our Community Guidelines below.
2. Sharing on toongether
Ownership: Your work is yours. All the User Content (comic stories, dialogs, things you write or draw, upload…) belong to you. Full stop.But Also, A Bit Ours: When you use toongether, you're giving us a pass to use and share your work (even if we don’t own it). Why? Future plans include monetizing your content and sharing the profits with you. Trust us; we'll figure this out together. The legal verbiage is that you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute all your User Content (Anything that you post or otherwise make available on our platform) in any and all media or distribution methods (now known or later developed).
3. Playing Nice - our Community Ethos
We're all here to create and enjoy! Below is the first version of our community guidelines, a starting point that feels like the bare minimum to us. You can also read it with cats and all here!

No Discrimination, No Trolling, No Aggression, No Swear Words: We’re proud of welcoming everybody 13+ with Respect - we’re counting on you to do the same.
No Breaking Laws: Stay legal in what you create and share.
No Hacking or Harm: Keep the platform safe from malware or disruptions.
No Stealing: Don't swipe, crawl, pifler content from toongether or others without permission.
Keep It Personal: toongether is for fun, not for business promotions.

4. When Things Get Sticky
Need a Break? You can delete your account anytime—just email us.
Crossing the Line: If things go south (like, really south), we may need to part ways. Yes, we mean we’ll delete your account if you’re not playing it chill enough. Just don't go there, okay?
5. The Fine Print
No Warranty: We're doing our best, but we can't guarantee everything will be perfect 24/7. There will be bugs and interruptions of services. Sometimes we’ll remove features.Your Responsibility: If your actions land us in hot water, you'll need to cover us. The legal verbiage: You expressly understand and agree that toongether shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses (even if toongether has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the service; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information, or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through or from the service; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iv) statements or conduct of any third party on the service; (v) or any other matter relating to the service. If you do something that gets us sued, or break any of the promises you make in these Terms of Service, you agree to indemnify and hold Kartoon and its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners, and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your User Content, your use of the service, your connection to the service, your violation of the Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.We'll Evolve: Changes will happen, and we'll keep you in the loop, either in the app or via email. Not cool with the changes? It might be time to say goodbye.
